GIVING

Giving of ourselves is part of God's plan and design for our lives. When we bless others, we are blessed as well. God calls us to give of our time, talent, and treasure so that others can experience life-change both locally and globally.

DOES GOD NEED MONEY?

IS CHURCH ALL ABOUT MONEY?

The answer to both of these questions is NO!

God does not need our money, and that is not what B3 is all about. Simply put, God repeatedly commands us to give in Scripture. He gave everything for us at the cross when Christ died for us. Giving is simply a response to that love and grace.

Money is just one part of our lives. Jesus calls us to give Him our entire life and self, not just part. So, even God's commands for us to give encompasses the giving of our time, energy, desires, abilities, and possessions to Him. Everything we are and have belongs to Him if we are a follower of Christ.

Tithe or Offering?

Scripture uses the term "tithe" to describe a tenth of someone's goods or income (Leviticus 27:30-32). Tithe refers to a tenth of our gross income. Offering refers to anything given above the tithe. God promises to bless this obedience (Malachi 3:10). The general point is for God's people to be generous. It changes us, helps others, and spreads the Gospel around the world (Acts 4:32-37; 2 Corinthians 9:7).

Why give online?

How does it work?

The purpose of online giving is to help believers be obedient to God's command to give.

It may be more worshipful and meaningful for you to give during a worship service. Yet, some have found that an online option helps them stay consistent and faithful in giving. Faithful obedience is also worship.

When you click on the Give Online icon, you will be taken to a secure website operated by LifeWay's eGiving. You will create an account with your email address. There you have options to give via card or check. You can also choose to make the tithe or offering recurring. Gifts made online will also show on your annual giving statement provided by the church for tax purposes.
